Reflecting on how I have became a better leader by doing home learning challenges and leadership blog posts, I have learnt about sorting things out in peer mediation and how to solve problems without involving teachers. Also doing this over the year I feel like I have matured by doing these things.
Also it has made me want to do my dutys more and doing a but extra so I can blog about it.
Overall the leadership badges, home learning Challenges have made me a better leader and have helped me understand leadership.

Kapa Haka
Today I had Kapa Haka.
First as a warm up we went through a quick song and then did our school song.
We also did Poi but some of us (including me need to go slower so that what i'm working on.)
We also are adding a new song with possible actions. I am also looking forward to opening up the Halwell cafe and library as I really enjoy performing in the Kapa Haka.
Overall I am now going to try and go slower while doing the poi so I can be more in time.

Today I had Choir.
We Practised some songs that we haven't practised in a while.
The songs were welcome home by David Dobbin and adiamus.
We went over Harmony's for the adiamus and pronunciation of words.
Overall I really enjoyed Choir practise and am looking forward to preforming to the people at the retirement home as I think they will really enjoy it.

Peer Mediation
Today I had Peer Mediation and as the people I do it with were not here I had 2 of my friends do it with me.
There was not really many problems, but there were some year 4 students that weren't being sensible so we had to sort it out but separating so they would play there games better.
Overall there weren't many problems in Peer Mediation but I am happy my friends help me as when there isn't any problems it can be a bit boring.

Choir
recently I had choir. It was the first practise in a while since not doing the music festival.
We first;y talked about our performances for the rest of the year.
After we choose the songs we wanted to perform with a vote the popular ones were slice of heaven and murasame.
After we practised both songs and did our songs adiumus.
Overall I am starting to prefer the song adiumus.

Kapa Haka
Today I had Kapa Haka and there weren't many people as there weren't many year 7&8s and no year 4's.
We practised the songs we were going to do for place we are having an opening performance.
We also practised positions for a different performance.
Overall I really enjoyed Kapa Haka and hope to remember the actions to one of out songs a bit more and I need to remember where I am standing for different performances so it won't be all over the place!

Peer Mediation
Today I did Peer mediation to help Ellie out as the people she had weren't there.
We went around the Junior area and there was a problem of someone who pushed someone over accidentally so I had to sort that Out. there was another problem where a girl didn't have anyone to play with as her friend was playing in the sandpit and she didn't want to play in there so I asked a group of girls if she could play with her.

Peer Mediation
Today I had Peer Mediation.
It was a bit hard as athletics ran overtime but luckily I am on the second half of lunch.
We finished short sprints at 1:05 so I ate lunch for 5 minutes then went to peer mediation as my shift is on at 1:10.
There weren't any problems but we still walked round the field.
Overall there weren't any problems.

Helping out around the school
Today I thought I helped out around the school.
because I was playing a game and someone who was helping out with collecting all the items donated for the raffle for the gala.
What we had to do was organise the items Into boxes and then put them into another room.

Today I had Choir, but it was a bit different.
We went to horn castle arena to practise for the music festival witch is on tonight.
This was my second time doing the music festival as I did it in year 5.
We practise all the songs and went over the bits of songs that we need to go over.
Overall I'm excited for the music festival tonight.

Getting invloved
Today I thought I got involved, because at the start of lunch I had code club for about 20 minutes.
after code club was finished I went to find my friends and we played some 4 square.
Half way through the game Miss O gave my friends and I a pozi for getting involved and having our hats on.

Peer Mediation
Today I had Peer mediation.
There weren't any problems but I still had to remind people about having there hats on and also asking if people are okay and what they are up to.
There was one scenario where it was a year 2 who had no one to play with and I said to the year 2 that I know someone in her year and she can ask her to play.
After lunch time I went to the other year girl to tell her that if she can let this girl in her year play with her.

Choir
I had Choir.
We mostly practised our music festival songs.
We also had a bit of a challenge to sing the songs without the book I actually did do that for the songs and I'm really improving on remembering the lyrics of the songs.
After that we practised our song That isn't from the music festival. Witch I enjoyed practising.

Kapa Haka
Today I had Kapa Haka.
We firstly practised the school song, and the poi song and at the last minute we practised a song we learnt earlier in the year.
After that a lot of classes came in to watch us peform those songs.
First we did the school song twice, but the second time the classes joined in.
Then we did out poi song witch was rather hard peforming it infront of people.
Then we peformed out last song witch I remembered most the actions to!
Being role model
Today I thought I was being a role model to the younger students as I was helping a year one and a year 2 out with the skipping ropes.
Also my friends and I played with them and set up a few games so they had something to do so both them and my friends were getting involved.
Also when the bell rang I helped them neatly put the skipping ropes away.

On The Bus At Tech
Today I think I was a good role model at tech because I was only talking to the person next to me and also I wasn't loud at all.
Also on the way back the bus driver pulled in because at that point the bus was a bit loud and I don't think I was being loud at all.
Also I did attempt to make space for 3 to a seat but people had more space of there seat for the people who didn't have a seat to sit on.
Overall I thought I was a good role model on the bus

Koru Games
Over the last 3 days I have been doing football for Koru Games.
I really enjoyed the 2nd day of games because everyone had a way better idea of how the games were going to work.
Thinking back to the beginning of the year, I really improved on my dribbling skills as we practiced that alot in the traing and it came in handy for the actual games.
Overall I found the games challenging but fun and i'm really looking forward to it next year.
